  • Support the Treasury team with the purchase and settlement of financial instruments
  • Process invoices, expenses and payment requests, ensuring timely and accurate supplier payments
  • Prepare and distribute monthly cost reports from the Concur expenses system
  • Maintain accurate financial data within the Sun general ledger
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
  • Take a key role in the month‑end close, including preparing and posting journals
  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts
  • Undertake ad‑hoc research and small projects, providing financial insight and analysis

🌟 What you’ll bring

Knowledge

  • Understanding of core accounting principles and IFRS
  • Awareness of month‑end close processes and financial reporting cycles
  • Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting
  • Understanding of general ledger structures, journals and chart of accounts

Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability
  • Clear and confident communication skills, including presenting financial insights
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with finance systems
  • Experience with AP/expenses software (e.g., SAP Concur) is desirable

Experience

  • Hands‑on operational accounting experience, including transactional finance
  • Practical experience preparing reconciliations and resolving differences
  • Exposure to the financial reporting cycle (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Studying towards ACA/ACCA (part‑qualified)
  • Accounts payable experience is advantageous

If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy problem‑solving, and have a strong eye for detail, this role offers the perfect platform to grow.
